Who this policy covers
This policy applies to this site, an independent guide to Fudoll and realistic dolls. We are not the official Fudoll website and we are not affiliated with the Fudoll brand. When you click through to the store we link to, its own privacy policy applies, not this one.
This site is for adults 18 and over. It is not directed at minors, and we do not knowingly collect information about anyone under 18.
What we don't collect
There is nothing on this site to sign up for or fill in. We have no user accounts, no comments, no newsletter and no contact form, so we never ask for your name, email address, phone number, postal address or payment details.
We don't sell dolls or take orders, so the store never passes us your name, address or payment details.
Server logs
Like almost every website, this site runs on a hosting provider that may keep standard server logs. A log entry typically includes your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, the referring page and your browser's user agent.
These logs are kept for security and to keep the site running: for example, to detect abuse, block malicious traffic and fix errors. We don't use them to identify individual visitors or to build profiles.
Analytics
This site uses two analytics services. The first, Cloudflare Web Analytics, shows which pages are read and which are not. Cloudflare states that this service doesn't use cookies or local storage to track visitors and doesn't fingerprint them by IP address or browser. It reports aggregate figures, such as page views, referring sites and device type, which help us decide what to update. We don't use analytics to identify you personally or to follow you across other websites.
The second service is Contentsquare. It records how visitors use the pages: clicks, mouse movements, scrolling and moves from one page to another, along with basic details about the device and browser. From this data it builds session replays, which reconstruct a single visit, and heatmaps, which show where visitors click and how far they scroll. We use them to find pages that confuse readers or break on some devices, and to improve the guides.
By default, Contentsquare masks text typed into input fields and does not collect it. This site has no forms anyway, so there is nowhere to enter personal details.
Contentsquare processes this data on behalf of this site and under its instructions, as a data processor. According to Contentsquare, the data is stored in data centers in Europe or the United States and kept for 13 months by default. Contentsquare states that it does not sell personal data it collects through the sites that use it.
Analytics cookies and how to opt out
To tell visits and sessions apart, Contentsquare sets its own first-party cookies on this site. According to Contentsquare's documentation, the main ones are _cs_id, which stores a visitor ID, a visit count and timestamps for 13 months, and _cs_s, which stores data about the current session for 30 minutes and is renewed while you stay active. First-party cookies belong to this site's domain, and other websites cannot read them.
To keep Contentsquare from recording your visits, block cookies for this site in your browser settings: the tag checks that it can set cookies and records nothing when it cannot. Blocking only third-party cookies is not enough, because these cookies are first-party. Browser extensions that block tracking scripts also stop the tag, and every page works the same without it. Contentsquare's documentation does not say that the tag honors Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals, so don't rely on those settings alone.
Affiliate links and cookies
Some links on this site, such as the "Check Fudoll prices" buttons and links that start with /go/, are affiliate links. When you click one, you leave this site and go to the store. The store or its affiliate network may then set cookies in your browser to record that you came from this site, so that a commission can be attributed if you place an order.
Those cookies are set on the store's side and are governed by the store's own privacy and cookie policies. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. More on how affiliate links work is in our affiliate disclosure.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, privacy laws such as the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California may give you rights over your personal data: to know what is held about you, to get a copy, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict certain processing, and not to have your data sold. Because this site doesn't collect names, emails or accounts, we usually hold nothing that can be linked to you as a person. Data recorded by Contentsquare is tied only to a cookie ID and does not include your name; you can also send a request about it to Contentsquare directly, as its privacy policy explains.
This summary is general information, not legal advice, and it doesn't guarantee any specific outcome.
