How this site is funded
This site is an independent buyer's guide to Fudoll and realistic dolls. We are not the official Fudoll website or an official store, we are not affiliated with the Fudoll brand, and we don't sell dolls. The site runs on affiliate links to the store we link to.
When you click one of those links and then place an order, the store may pay us a commission. You pay the same price as you would if you went to the store directly.
Which links are affiliate links
Every "Check Fudoll prices" or "Check prices" button on this site is an affiliate link. So is any link whose address starts with /go/: it passes through this site and then redirects you to the store. These links open in a new tab.
The footer of every page says so, and these links carry the sponsored attribute in the page code, which tells search engines that the link is commercial. Links to other pages of this guide are ordinary internal links and earn nothing.
How the commission works
When you click an affiliate link, the store or its affiliate network usually records the visit, often with a cookie set on its side. If you place an order within the period the store allows, the sale is attributed to this site and we may receive a percentage. We don't see your name, address or payment details.
The commission comes out of the store's margin. It doesn't add anything to your price, and the store's terms, returns and warranty are the same whichever way you arrive. Details on cookies are in our privacy policy.
What the money doesn't change
Commission has no influence on what we write. We describe the weight and care a full-size doll needs, explain when a lighter format such as a torso or head only suits you better, and show what a fair price looks like in our cheap dolls guide, even when that means a smaller order.
We don't accept payment for placement. No one can buy a mention, a link or a position on this site. We also don't publish star ratings, scores or rankings, so there is no rating to sell.
What "the store we link to" means
We say "the store we link to" rather than "the store we recommend" on purpose. We have an affiliate relationship with it, but we haven't vetted its operations, and we can't vouch for its service. Orders, payments, shipping, returns and warranty are handled by the store under its own terms. Check them, and ask questions, before you pay.
We don't quote prices because they change often. The current price is always the one on the store's product page.
Why we tell you this
Rules such as the US Federal Trade Commission's guidance on endorsements expect sites to disclose paid relationships clearly. More importantly, you should know how a site makes money before you trust what it says.
